"When you arrive at the entrance to Maison Dalabua your heart skips a beat as the entrance is underwhelming. But after a few paces stepping inside the modest reception area you are led to your room through an exquisite tropical garden resplendent with lotus ponds. The room is tastefully decorated with fine Laotian touches. The patio leads out to the pool, the aircon is quiet and cool and a welcome after a two day river trip down the Mekong. The staff bend over backwards to make your stay a real five star experience. When it comes to dining you soon discover that the best restaurant in town is in your hotel. You sit at a table under the moonlight that reflects in the lotus and lily ponds. It is an oriental vision inspired by Claude Monet's Water Lillies. It is a scene so fittingly Laotian and Gallic. Come breakfast time, the same restaurant is the venue for a Laotian, French or Western petit dejeuner, enjoyed in fine surroundings with attentive staff."

"Outstanding property, customer service and breakfast buffet. It is about a 20-minute walk into town. The only minor inconvenience was many tuk tuk is unable to cross the bridge so you just have to walk across to catch a cab or tour bus."

"This is a 3 star hotel with 5 star staff and service. Every single interaction with staff was helpful, kind, and welcoming. From my first phone call to arrange a pick up to the airport, to the manager, Santi, walking us out to our ride back. My one issue was Expedia lists a gym for this hotel and there isn’t one. In hind sight, I’m glad I didn’t know there wasn’t a gym, because I would not have booked this hotel. I would have missed out on a perfectly delightful experience."

"Great location and comfortable accommodation. Easy access to see morning alms giving as well as night market and lots of restaurant options. The hotel restaurant was good for breakfast (we didn’t try out anything else). Amenities provided at the hotel were great. Full access to the minibar, water bottles for day use and fresh fruit. They even provided us a breakfast bag on departure since we had an early morning flight. Lovely stay during our brief time in Luang Prabang"
