"We loved our stay at Sabah hotel as a family of two adults and one child (9yrs old). We booked it for the pool mainly as we knew Sandakan town didn't have much to offer compared to other places on our trip. My daughter loved the pool especially the slides and they provide free pool towels which was great too. The rooms were cleaned daily and were very spacious and we had a pool view. "For the area of Sandakan that this hotel is in this is a pretty good option if you really have to stay here! I would not recommend the area at all. The staff here were very attentive and friendly. "The accommodation and food was nice, we were let down by the tours and communication. The night walk was disappointing as we walked very close to our accommodation, so was not really the jungle walk we were expecting.
