I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Telegraphement, and overall, it was a delightful experience with a few notable exceptions.
Pros:
• Exceptional Service: Upon my early morning arrival, I intended only to drop off my luggage. However, the front desk staff went above and beyond to accommodate me, striving to secure an early check-in.
• Delicious Breakfast: The breakfast offerings were impressive, with both the coffee and food meeting high standards.
• Comfortable Room: Facing inside the courtyard(?), my room provided a tranquil and cozy retreat, ensuring restful nights.
• Prime Location: Situated adjacent to Museum Island, the hotel offers immediate access to cultural landmarks. Additionally, numerous restaurants and the charming Neun Drei cafe are just a short stroll away.
Cons:
• Inconsistent Dining Options: I was disappointed to find the Root Restaurant closed due to a private event on my first day and not operating at all on the second. This limited my dining choices within the hotel. However, drinking and dining at The Root Bar was a great experience. Gustav was a very accommodating.
• Bathroom Design Flaw: The shower in my bathroom had drainage issues, leading to water leakage, exacerbated by the poor floor design, suggesting it might be a known issue that hasn’t been addressed. Absolutely despised their “natural” shampoo and conditioner. Made my hair all sticky and oily.
Overall I loved staying at the hotel and will gladly return and recommend.
