"Room was clean. I liked the kitchen area. We were able to cook our own food. Nice touch having a microwave, fridge/freezer The shower invigorating due to good water pressure. The bed was comfortable. Ideal after our 11 hour journey. I would highly recommend. NB it would be great if the accommodation would warn the prospective guest to have a refundable cash of 200 Rand ready upon check-in. "

"The unit was well furnished and modern, the built-in stuff were great, but the pots, pans and fan wasn't so great. It was fully usable but it had broken handles etc. The management was also very strict, we asked for an additional set of keys and they were initially reluctant to provide one and after that quoted us first R1000, then R500 deposit. It just felt like it was overly strict, rigid and lacking a bit of that human touch which Jo'burg is famous for. Overall still a great place to stay...

"The hotel is basically next to the Rosebank mall, convenience walk to restaurants and Starbucks for morning coffee. Excellent location. The indoor parking is also easy and safe. The room is clean, new and has everything we need. Each bedrooms is a bit small, cannot open a big luggage in the room, but living room has good space. Shower is not fully covered, so must be a bit careful when shower, otherwise the water can be pouring on to the floor outside the shower. "

"Margaret is a friendly, hospitable hostess and runs her business very efficiently. From our first correspondence she was extremely helpful, interactive, wanting our stay to be as comfortable as possibe. Margaret's Place is the perfect place to spend the night before a flight, it being so close to OR Thambo Airport. We will be staying there again."

"This is a beautiful unit in a neighborhood where white people cannot safely walk. That is not my opinion-the desk clerk escorted us to the grocery and back, made sure our Uber was in front before we left the lobby, etc. The area is not rundown. I was sad that our visit was altered by this circumstance. "
