"If you enjoy fantastic landscapes, history and excellent service, this is the perfect place for you. Our welcome to this remarkable building was warm and very professional. The reception, restaurant and bar have been restored from a factory ,impeccably with style, class and sympathy. We were showed to the room via an orginal factory evelator. I loved the bedroom it was comfortable and cosy. Can I add it is very colonial, some would say dated, but I would disagree, and the hotels pictures of ...

"The views were amazing, room was big and clean, there is a steep walk to the hotel but staff helped with bags, the breakfast was average, overall a nice place to stay with friendly staff and views were unreal"

"Really enjoyed our stay at Ella Retreat. The glamping tent was ideal for us, spacious and comfortable, and the balcony overlooking the waterfall was amazing! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, organising our (very tasty) meals, tuktuks and laundry. "

"The hotel was clean and the rooms were great. The only drawback is the steep climb to the hotel.it is in the center of town and you can walk to restaurants, shopping and bars. The chef made food packages to take on the train trip- which was lovely. "

"The view from our room was absolutely amazing and the bedroom was very comfortable. The bathroom on the other hand not the best, quite dark and the shower had quite a bit of black mould stains and needed a deep clean. Steep walk to get down to Ella and back to the hotel again. Would most likely return for the views from the room"

"Overall my stay was great. The view and peacocks were beautiful. The food was also great. Only complaint I have is there was a mouse that entered our room. The hotel provided a mouse trap which did catch the mouse. Keep in mind that this room is outdoors so you may see insects and mosquitoes in your room. "

"I really liked how peaceful this place was with a great view. The English breakfast was not great, but the Sri Lankan breakfast was very good. And the Jacuzzi is nice to have, but it’s not hot. The room was great that I had with a view of Ella rock. But the bathroom doors were kinda like closet doors and made a big noise when you went in and out the people were very nice and helpful and kind. The location was a bonus cause you could just walk down the hill and you’d be right in the middle of...

"Beautiful cottage feel in Nuverliya. Our family was so happy we decided to stay there. Staffs were excellent. There have library room with activity room for the teen to kids. "
