"My father and I just had a recent stay at Hotel Borg for three nights. We were very upset with the service from the housekeeping staffs looking after our room. When we first arrived to our room, we found out that our welcome fruit basket was empty. That was not what we expected to see at a (5-star?) luxury hotel (as stated on the hotel’s own website). "Staff was lovely, when they had the time but there are only 2 at front desk so if there is a large group it is a long wait to ask questions. Breakfast was not as portrayed online although still plentiful. Amenities were outstanding and mind blowing if using the spa. Having parking was an incredible bonus. "5 star hotel for Reykjavik. I had a beet salad that was excellent but the breakfast buffet, hmm. Pretty much cereal, muffins and other like food. No eggs, bacon ,sausage or other things normally at a buffet. The hallways are a bit dark, there are no coffee cups with handles so I could not hold the cup. The rooms are very nice. It is a beautiful hotel in a nice location and the staff was excellent. These are the reasons I gave it 5 stars."

"Hard to get used to the 'contactless check in'. No humans around. The apartment was adequate, but there were a few things that should be addressed. I needed to iron a dress, and, yes there was an iron, and an ironing board that would sit on a table. Except that there was nowhere in the apartment where I could plug in the iron and use a table for the ironing board! I would have to rearrange the apartment. Also, the outlets in the bedroom were only accessible by crawling under the bedside tables....
