"The hotel is just right before getting into Hofn town. We can see Aurora from here. The room is clean and comfortable. Breakfsst served are just cold cuts and Museli with milk. There are no American breakfast. It's probably the Icelandic style."

"The place is really nice. But if the weather is rough the public spaces are not very cosy. In fact there’s a strong draft every time someone enters/exists the hotel which means you need to wear a thick layer inside… Other than that the hotel is beautiful . The hot tub is stunning and allows a dip in the cold lake just in front. The food in the restaurant is quite tasty and creative. "

"We stayed for one night in a cabin/chalet behind the hotel. The concierge was extremely helpful and polite, despite clearly being alone at work (it was a Sunday night). Check in from a reservation was smooth and convenient. There is not much to do in the area, so we had a couple of beers in the bar/restaurant area and went to bed. The chalet was clean and well-equipped for a longer stay, with appliances, tableware, towels, and a comfortable sleeping arrangement. I would highly recommend this...

"Great stay, fab location, lovely room and very warm throughout our stay. The filter coffee/coffee press was a welcome treat my partner enjoyed. Beds were very comfy with plush bedding and pillows. With A great shower as well...... nothing to fault here. Would def recommend and stay again."
