"Wonderfully located within walking distance of everything to do in Bar Harbor, the Anchorage Motel was a wonderful choice for our recent vacation. The staff was very friendly and helpful. "We had an amazing time here. What a family friendly resort. It was so safe, clean, and well run. You get a lot for your money and the breakfast was an added bonus. Many family activities for free like smores, movie night,etc. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and the beds were very comfy. We never heard any neighbors and always had a great sleep. "This property had an indoor and outdoor pool which came in so handy when there was a passing afternoon thunderstorm! Also everything was brightly lit and always people at the front desk. I only wish that the shuttle service had started when we were there. As a result, we had to walk into downtown. The walk isn’t too bad - about a mile - and we had kids with us. "

"We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The bed was comfy and the staff was really accommodating when we asked for extra pillows. "Great location and top notch service from staff. Would definitely recommend. We stayed in the Ocean Lodge and every room has a spectacular view of Bar Harbor. Definitely what you are paying for... Staff was very courteous. The continental breakfast was very generous and all that was needed."

"An all around great experience. We stayed a week, enjoyed most of what Desert Island, Acadia & Bar Harbor have to offer. Office is open around the clock. Staff is friendly & helpful. Beds are comfortable. View of the Harbor is alright, not as spectacular as I’d have liked. Well worth the price given what similar accommodations are charging in the area."
