"The hotel was lovely with spacious guest rooms with lots of luxurious details. The room lacked practical facilities like a place to put your clothes or suitcases which meant it looked cluttered all the time. The front desk staff were pleasant when they were there but seldom were able to be helpful. We were told that none of the restaurants on the property were open despite their posted hours, there was no option to send out laundry and even that there were no umbrellas available to borrow...

"I had an air B&B for 5 years and I know how a place needs to look and feel. I am also an extensive traveler, for work mostly and have been around for quite a while. It is the first time for me to change hotel and ask for a refund!!! Very rundown hotel, caters to Japanese only, no English almost at all. Photos dose not represent the hotel nor the rooms. "Excellent stay - are is right in between the two sections of tourist attractions in the city, 15 minute walk to the ropeway. The new onsen is amazing - hands down the best onsen I've seen in a non-onsen city. They also had a crib for our 9 month old - free of charge - which was very nice! "

"Hilton is Hilton. 5 star hotel is 5 star hotel. No Lie, No BS. They deserve the high ranking. Everything I receive is top rate while the price is very affordable.
