The Mitsui Garden was a wonderful place to stay. We were walking and touring around Kyoto all day and it was lovely to come home and relax in our room, use the onsen and sneak up to the nearby supermarket for snacks. Great location, lovely staff and a very nice environment.

Friendly Staff and Great Location

Great location with easy bus access near the property. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with friendly staff members who also surprised us with a room upgrade.

Disliked: Cleanliness
The room was overall dirty. The bedsheets had a blood stain and I found a lipstick under the bed. The staff was helpful and apologetic about it. I could have had bad luck and maybe this is unusual. The hotel is 20 minutes from pontotcho and other popular areas. There are subway stations 5-10 minutes away. I did not feel I got the value I paid for.

Amazing!

We got upgraded to a triple room due to overbooking. Very happy with the Size, as it is probably one of the biggest hotel rooms i have had in Japan. The cleanliness was superb. I will definately stay here again.
