"Had a late arrival flight in to Manchester and an early departure so an airport hotel was a must have. Chose the Clayton based on reviews and price and wasn’t disappointed. "I know that Marriott encourage associates to greet guests with an appropriate greeting but I didn't really appreciate the young man that checked us in greeting me with "Hiya Mate". I am 61 and I was raised in Manchester. I think that is just plain rude. Staff in the Great Room were not attentive or switched on. My daughter ordered Vegetable Jalfrezi and received Chicken Curry."

"Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The prices per night was reasonable. This hotel is in a really good location in central Manchester - a 8 to 10-minute walk to Arndale and 10 to 15-minute walk to Piccadilly Station. Definitely recommend"

"Very good, staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Only 5 to 10 minutes at the most in a taxi to the airport, cost us £13. Breakfast was really nice and catered for myself been gluten free. Top tip, there is a pub round the corner 5 minutes walk if that, called The Romper, it's hidden and the hotel will direct you, it's fabulous and great food. "
