it was awful. first we were told they do not have any relationship with hotel.com. we were stranded no one to help. them they allocated us wrong room. no refund, no apology. it was bad.
Worst possible. The hotel no longer works with Hotels.com, so I had to make alternate arrangements. Now I am waiting for hotel.com to refund my payment. Don't use this hotel at all, they not serious!
Hotel staff were pleasant and the stay was quite satisfactory.

Elixer Hotel Middelburg
It was just ok. Nothing wonderful, there was no bar fridge in the room. Beds not so comfy. Not a very good area. Expensive for what was offered. Not really a hotel, more like a school hostel!
It was not pleasant at all. The noise around the corridors during the night, and in the rooms around my room. The shower door was not closing and they left one bath towel in the room. I told them about the shower and towel they did nothing about. There was dust in the wardrobe.
Conviniently placed hotel very nice looking from the outside. We felt safe there. Somewhat worse and oldish from the inside, not very clean bathroom. Our room lacked A/C even if it was stated in a description of the room. Overall, good value for the money for an overnight stay.
