"Read poor reviews but we were welcomed by the manager who showed us the room. Nice but a bit compact. Meal at night and breakfast good. Enjoyed our stay and would revisit. There is mould just above the shower on the ceiling and can easily be removed if resolved now. But it does need attention "

"What beautiful place to stay. With lovely weather we had a really nice stay. I love being surrounded by greenery, so relaxing. The only downside for me, was the fact our room 'Executive double' was right by the main entrance to the rooms on the ground floor, so you didn't feel very private. I opened the curtains and there is the delivery man in his lorry. We would stay here again, but would not want to stay in that room again. "

"Room size was exceptionally and impressively large. Excellent condition throughout and bathroom looked new. Bit of traffic noise in night to be expected on a bank holiday weekend and mattresses were satisfactory. Location very central though and parking was easy. "

"We booked our stay back in September. On 13th October we travelled 200 miles from Scotland, arriving at 8pm, to find it closed. It transpired that the hotel had gone out of business on 5th October. No one had thought to inform us, and cancel our booking! I spent an hour on the phone speaking to various people in America, employed by Hotels.com, assuming they would be able to help, perhaps by arranging alternative accommodation. Instead they each wasted time by going through the same pointless...

"The food from the bar menu was not inspiring. The smothered chicken was good but the hand battered fish was below average. Breakfast was under whelming . Having said that the staff were welcoming and attentive. The accommodation was excellent. Bed comfy , room very clean. All reception and corridors clean and well maintained. We would stay again. "
