"Beautiful Victorian property, loving restored, yet retaining some original period features, the owners definitely got the balance of new & old spot on . The Hosts are super helpful & friendly, go above & beyond to ensure your stay in stunning English countryside is memorable. The cooked to order breakfast was delicious, freshly squeezed orange juice was a real treat. Highly recommend this quaint B&B "

"There was a heavy snow fall over much of England whilst we were there which meant that we were snowed in and staff snowed out. Many staff walked in or abandoned cars to get to work and then worked first to cook breakfast (the chef was snowed in) and then to dig us out with the help of spades and the local farmer with a digger. We felt very well looked after and the staff did an amazing job in difficult circumstances.Great Teamwork! Thank you."

"Stayed here loads before covid for work so i didn’t bother to check the reviews and what a mistake. The hotel is being used to house asylum seekers who have made this their home by using the the corridors as children's play areas (a bike race at 10pm) with screaming kids and adults arguing. With nowhere for children to play, this is clearly not the right hotel to house a family for months. Breakfast was a disaster because as soon as food comes out, the asylum seekers take everything. "I have stayied here many times and enjoy the hotel. Lovely all year round. Amazing in summer for the voews and walks. Lovely food, reasonable price. The breakfast is amazing with proper coffee. I will be staying aloy more in the future and highly recammend. Every element is 10/10. The staff are great and nothing is too much. People travel to the hotel for their food so you will always be treated to a great feast at a great price with a lovely peaceful hotel to rest you head for the next day!"

"Loved Staying here before the theme park Season really kicked off. My only issues are that checking out its best to do after 7.00. due to needing to phone to unlock the main doors if you require to leave before 7.00 Checking Inn at a late time can be problematic due to the main Gate connects to someones Mobile and Signal in the area is extremely poor"

"Really nice room. I stayed in a superior double on the second floor and I think these have recently been refurbished. The room was spotless and really nicely done out. The receptionist was really lovely and check in/out was very efficient. Would definitely stay again"

"Check-in was very good - professional, friendly and helpful team member. Excellent location alongside a lovely park and easy access to Wakefield City. Found the room of good size and clean - but quite noisy on the evening of arrival - from the corridor and neighbouring rooms - lasted approx. 20 mins, then OK. Just 1 Bath Towel and 1 Hand Towel provided for 2 people - not particularly an issue, but not ideal."
