A unique property in a good location. The room was large and the toilet size was decent. Everything was clean and well organized. The complimentary/optional soup-rice dinner was delicious. Plenty of dining options and parking nearby.
We needed to walk a distance to find the hotel. However, We like the hotel room’s toilet is separated from the bath. The room is clean and new. Buffet breakfast is nice especially the bread buffet. The complimentary supper is simple & great.
The middle age lady staff at front desk is very helpful when we tried find car rental and she offered to help us to contact the car rental for us.
Very clean hotel & quiet. We only spent a night there and for that night the staff had prepared ochazuke for us to try, which we loved!
Breakfast was very good as well.
The public bath is on the smaller side, but quiet if you manage to be with very few people.
Booked the double queen with balcony room. Room size was small can’t open 3 luggages. Too cold to use the balcony so it didn’t make sense to pay more.
Room was not central air con, so by right you can adjust temperature. However, it was very very cold despite the adjustment. Lights were dim in room too.
Onsen was small but luckily there were not many guest. Breakfast spread is ok nothing special. Would not return.
The luggage delivery service associated with the hotel (not covered by the accommodation cost, though) is extremely helpful. I was surprised to learn that some restaurants were fully booked in Nakatsugawa (esp. on a cold early winter night), so it would've been helpful to know this information (i.e., some restaurants could be very busy over the weekend, etc.).
A great little property tucked away in a quiet street close to the train station. Car parking was not a problem, even though it was not at the hotel itself. Lots of restaurants in close proximity to the hotel. Rooms very small, but clean and well equipped.
We liked the convenience to station and quietness. The staff were lovely. We would have preferred without the music on a short monotonous loop in the corridors from 6.30 and in the public bath but that was a minor issue. Overall a great experience
Avoid at all costs as the beds are impossible to sleep in and you feel the springs. I considered sleeping on the floor. We left one night before loosing 150 euros as we couldn’t sleep at all. Hotel staff not helpful as manager doesn’t understand single word of English
