"Fabulous hotel, lovely staff regardless of their role at the hotel. Conveniently 10 minutes taxi ride from airport. Room was outstanding and the shower/bathroom to die for. Gorgeous food, ate at hotel on three evenings and enjoyed the fresh fish on each occasion. Portions are big and it would be difficult to find better prepared food elsewhere on the Island. "This place is in very quiet area and surrounded by lovely garden and about 10 minutes walk to the nearest Fermain beach. "We enjoyed our stay. Yes, the hotel is old-fashioned,in that it's not all stainless steel, glass and fake marble. It's in a historic house, and you really get that feeling, which we enjoyed. "Everything was perfect except the bedroom was unbearably hot. Could not turn off bathroom heating or open window beyond 10cms (appreciate health and safety issues), so ended up with fan on all night. "We only stayed one night over NYE due to its proximity to the event we were at so we didn’t use the hotel’s facilities. The staff were very friendly at reception and in the restaurant where breakfast was served. Breakfast was tasty and fresh.
