"We arrived earlier than the 3pm check in time, but the staff worked hard to allow us into the room early. Upon return to our room after dinner, there was a terrible smell in the bathroom (as the extractor was blowing air in!), however Darrell noted the issue carefully for their maintenance team and moved us to another room immediately. Great service"

"This was our second stay at The Cumberland, excellent as before! We book a family room number 7, it’s very quiet with a rear view over the town, spacious, light and very cosy. I normally don’t pay a particular attention to toiletries but they are so good at The Cumberland so I had to google and order for my home. Hosts are wonderful, breakfast yummy and central location. They provide parking permit if you can find a spot near the hotel. We’ll be back!"

"Disappointed that when rooms are serviced each day the bed is no longer made--simply "pulled up" was the reply when we queried this at reception. "Reasonably clean, carpet in hallway getting worn. Window in bedroom had a Venetian blind, with no curtain. Unfortunately this allowed the full power of the sun to infiltrate the whole (small) room at 04.30am and so no further sleep was possible."
