"Despite its location on a busy street, this hotel is centrally located, near the river, and the historic city center. Highly insulated, the small, but efficient, rooms are quiet and comfortable. The buffet breakfast is superb, served in a beautiful, light-filled penthouse room. The roofdeck, on a moonlight night is a plus. "

"Perfect hotel! The free shuttle bus from the train station drops off directly to the front doors! Breakfast was fantastic and location is central and walking distance to the downtown. Highly recommend."

"Room was spacious and well appointed. Loved the common sitting areas on the 1st floor. Breakfast and dinners at the restaurant were very good with plenty of options including locally sourced products."

"Rooms are tiny but clean. The shared kitchen is nice to have though we didn't cook. You must be comfortable with self check-in and texting for information. The app was slow to send through so that was a little annoying (that is, I had a quick response according to the time stamp, but the app didn't push it through for hours). Parking is free if you are willing to walk but it's probably better than driving in the medieval streets! Overall, good for a night or two."

"The property was very pretty. We had a classic suite, which was actually two adjoining rooms, so it was very spacious,with two bathrooms, a great bargain. We had dinner there once, and my meal was very good, but my wife's was awful. She had bthe cabrito, which was nothing but bones and tough sinew which she couldn't cut with a knife, no meat. But the breakfasts were great, and our stay was very pleasant overall."

"Staff was very nice. This is not the easiest place to get to. Located on a narrow alley and parking is very challenging. It is also multi level with stairs. So if stairs are an issue, keep this in mind. Haven’t stayed at a split foyer hotel room before. But the foyer did come complete with a swooning sofa, TV and padded/quilted wall. "This is a very special property. Upon check in, we were told the legend of Pedro and Innes, a tragic and romantic story that allegedly took place here. This set the tone for our exploration of this grand and historic accommodation. The public lounges are exquisite, and the library is full of old-world charm.
