"Lovely people and delicious food. Bar was very friendly. Spacious room (#5) and big and comfortable bed. No internet in bedroom (think it was faulty as it showed a signal) but OK in bar. Water pressure in room #5 very poor but clean a pleasant bathroom. No mobile service but that is obviously not The Maypole’s fault!"

"Cold welcome from a blonde lady at reception who asked ‘can I help you’ when I walked in with my walking gear on. Perhaps she thought I was not good enough to stay there but compared to other stays this was unwelcoming! A smile and a welcome wouldn’t go amiss! Other than that The rest of the staff were lovely. The place is pretty and beautifully decorated for Christmas. It’s a lovely hotel. Breakfast was cold & didn’t finish it. Partner disappointed with his breakfast also. "

"We were greeted on arrival by a very welcoming young lady who checked us in and showed us to our room. Room was spotless and beautifully decorated. "Had a lovely stay at QSF. The suite was well thought out and had everything we needed. The shower was lovely and the little touches like dressing gowns, slippers and lavender sleep spray were appreciated. "Great stay for one night in the half term break. The guy who checked us in was great, saw my struggle with the vast amount of stairs (i have a dodgy knee) he moved us to a first floor room instead of second floor! "Mainly fine. Friendly check in. Don't like the fact that my card was debited £50 despite assurance it wouldn't be. I had already paid so why the debit on my card? Hoping this is refunded ASAP .I understand a swipe in case of damage etc , but they should definitely not have taken a debit from it without my authority. BLACK MARK FOR THIS. A suggestion would be to provide disposable shower/bath sponges. Also bedroom walls are very thin meaning enforced listening to next room's conversation....
