The newly opened Reef Lounge bar and restaurant nearby to Tubtim resort offers outstanding quality of food, drinks and service. Truly a wonderful part of Thailand on the eastern shore of Ko Samet. Not for the party crowd, this is somewhere to come and relax in nature."

"Great location, especially if you get the top floor with balcony. On issue was the private functions with karaoke late into evenings ( the Sunday one was unexpected) "

"1. Room is nice and clean 2. Staff are really nice and helpful. 3. The resort has a private beach, event it's not really really good for swimming but it's a good place just to chill and relax. 4. It's not on the main road but very close to Sai Kaew beach(5 mins walk or less). The resort is located in a nice and quite area. We've stayed there for 4 nights, the only sad thing is we couldn't stay longer! Definitely will come here again!"

"Samed Pavilion is a convenient base for this area of the island. Whilst not the most luxurious stay in the area, it is clean, pleasant and the staff are friendly and efficient. Strongly recommend for those who prefer to enjoy beach life rather than spend all their time on holiday in a hotel. "

"Not as pictured in the photos, place is run down and in desperate need of renovations and repairs. The room was less than comfortable, with a hard bed, old blanket and worn sheets, room was described as having black out blinds but in fact had tattered rags at the windows that didn’t keep out the light. Door was barely covered the opening letting in all insects and wildlife, was sharing the room with several geckos! Walls cracked, private bathroom was barely a shack. All in all not as described...

"Full of charm in a peaceful tropical setting with such lovely warm staff. Room spacious and had all you need. Great views and fab Thai food. Would definitely return and recommend. I thought it was good value for money. One warning - be sure to go to the Ao Prao Pier (specifically for guests of Samed Resorts) when you are on your way, as if the taxi driver doesn’t know this, he might take you to the wrong (super busy) general pier where you get hustled into buying probably the wrong boat...
