"Looks great from outside, and very welcoming from the start. The rooms are clean and spacious with great quirky decor and a very comfortable bed. We used the bar and restaurant during our stay and found the food very good and the service excellent. Staff were friendly, and the breakfast was tasty with lots of choice. We would definitely stay again."

"A real gem, across the road from the station or use the great free car park next door. Reception was welcoming and after hearing about a bad night at a national chain the night before they promptly sorted an upgrade of room for us - so kind. Breakfast was served in a sunny open room with lots of choices and cooked to order! A fabulous way to set you up for the day. "

"Comfortable stay in this small pub/hotel. The staff were very friendly, and the room was good, with a comfortable bed. The en suite bathroom was clean if a little tired looking but had all amenities one would want. The breakfast was great but the dining room was rather plain. It was lively in the evening and had great beer. "

"Just needed an overnight stay before an early morning appointment at Musgrove Park Hospital. This was a beautifully kept property, and so convenient for both the Hospital and for Taunton town centre. I am in a wheelchair, and although there was not a wheelchair accessible room available (it had already been booked), the staff found me a wonderful ground floor room that was totally suitable for my needs. "Quaint village Inn. Room was nicely decorated, furnished and had everything you could need. We had dinner in the restaurant in the evening and breakfast the following morning, both of which were excellent. Friendly helpful staff. Conveniently located for visiting Longleat, Stourhead and other attractions. Happy to recommend and would definitely stay there again if in the vicinity."
