"Fantastic location next to Terminal 21 so easy access to everywhere in Bangkok via the Metro or the BTS Good choice at breakfast Great sized pool but get in early for proper swim i.e. 6.00 am Good gym and sauna steam spa facility but beware of the jacuzzi it will scald you it is so hot! Friendly efficient staff especially the young lass in the Park breakfast restaurant who very kindly shared her experiences in Laos our next stop after Bangkok- thanks very much to all of you"

However, the hotel in general is looking old and in need of a refurbishment, especially considered the £155 price tag. In BKK it faces stiff competition. Still a wonderful grand old lady of a hotel. Restaurants, boat shuttle, spacious rooms, and on-river restaurants are its strong points."

"Beautiful hotel with great staff. Especially the guys on the door. Super helpful. The only downside was the bed felt damp during the night as if the air con wasn't removing the moisture. The control only allowed adjustment of the temperature. Other than that I loved it"

They initially said no king size beds were available at all but eventually found us a room with a king size (upgraded room type).
