"This resort was perfect for us. To start, transportation from the airport to the resort was extremely easy to book, efficient and not a far drive from the airport. Check in was seamless. Our room wasn’t ready until 4. They do have a room with a changing room, shower, bathroom so you can change and enjoy the day depending when you arrive. All food here is good, which you don’t come by often at all inclusive resorts. The buffet menu changed daily for dinner and lunch. They have two restaurants on the property which were both good. Umi was our favorite - the sushi was 10/10. Children are allowed at this resort and mostly stay at the pool. There is only one main pool and one small pool (which nobody went in). The beach was great, they come and put up an umbrella for you so you don’t have to worry about getting shade. The staff is very nice. All around I would come back. This is the perfect place to relax & a no frills resort."

"I came to the Golden sands for my husbands birthday weekend and our stay there was superb from start to finish. The staff were very accommodating esp Mechelle who helped me coordinate with decorators to set up the room for my husbands birthday surprise as well as throwing in a complimentary birthday breakfast and bottle of wine in there. The food at the restaurant attached to the hotel was also spectacular. We very much enjoyed the breadfruit coocoo with king fish as well as pudding and souse. The rooms were clean and equipt with all we needed and the location was awesome situated right across from beach and a short walk to the oistins fish fry. I highly recommend the Golden Sands hotel"

"Wow!! We had an amazing week at The Soco. The hospitality, the staff, the food was amazing. Each room had a sea view and is equipped for all you need on an AI stay. The location was ideal for us, the hotel is at the of the boardwalk so you could chose to either drink and eat at the hotel or visit one of the bars and restaurants along the front. Which means you can have a quiet or louder night depending on your mood. The food at the hotel was excellent so we had no issues eating most meals at the hotel. The service was top level and the staff (and general manger) went above and beyond to make our stay the best experience. Some people have mentioned the road noise in the reviews- yes you can hear the road as the hotel is on the main coast road, but this never bothered us and we slept so well! The hotel is boutique with only 24rooms (approx) so the staff get to know you and your preferences and the bartenders knew what drinks to make without us asking LOL In summary - my husband and I have a policy to never stay in the same place or hotel twice as we think the world is too small to repeat a visit - but we would stay at The Soco in Barbados again and already thinking about another visit never year- for us that is top marks!!"
