"The hotel is quite dated and the rooms are in need of an update. We upgraded into a larger room with a sofa, however there is just one cushion, a small wardrobe, not big enough for two people and no storage space. The larger room is good for the space, but that’s about it. We booked two rooms with a guest requesting the lower floor and myself on a higher floor; however this was confused at check in, despite explaining multiple times the preferences the team member kept getting it the wrong way...

"A bit disappointed with a couple of things, service very slow for drinks since there is no bar the drinks come from the restaurant downstairs up to the lobby area so I had to ask reception a couple of times. I was woken by someone loudly shovelling snow early on a Sunday morning when I was hoping for a lie in. The room was stifling hot despite turning off the radiator. There was no tea or coffee facilities in the room. "

There was a smoking room next to the reception which was good as it was always snowing outside.
