The mattress was a little soft for our liking, and it only had three small pillows, also the railway lone is close by so about every 4 hours or so it sounds like a freight train is coming through the door. "Check in was quick and easy. Lady on front desk polite and efficient. Room very comfortable and in very good order. Room has everything you need fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Very good value. Barstow has many motels but many are of poor quality. I would definately recommend Route 66 Motel and consider it to be one of the better ones on Main St. I would stay again. "

"The people at the counter both morning and night (same couple) were amazingly friendly and happy. Do you know how few happy tenants I see? Very few. This was a clean, comfortable relaxing stay and their happiness rubbed off on me after a very long Route66 trip - excellent job!!!!"

"The guest service person was excellent! Helpful and professional! The outer exterior looked promising but as we enter the unit we were very disappointed in the furnishings. Tried to make it modern but did so with cheap materials. Bed had springs that made noise on every movement. The sheets were discolored and had holes and stains on the top cover. No shampoo or shower wash. Towels need replacing as grey and rough . Bleached to the point of fraying ! Only good part was the staff. The upgrades...
