"Good value, very modern & clean, bathroom large. Bed & pillows a bit hard but preferences differ, one bedside cabinet had drawer missing & framed picture on wall stained with what looked like red paint, bathroom door creaked loudly. Little things but not to be put off as excellent. Reception staff lovely, friendly, efficient. Appreciated complimentary croissants & hot drinks in reception area. Thanks."

"We had a lovely stay. Nice views over the fields. Kitchen well equipped with tea, coffee, fresh milk and biscuits. Luxury feel. Enjoyed the hot tub which was warm and ready for us arriving. Would recommend this place and I think we’ll be back."

"We had a good stay, when ringing for support to find the entrance and how to enter was very supported and sent all necessary details, free parking close by and isn’t too far a drive away from everything. Very quiet no banging through the night etc. "

"This is a lovely little place with a great pub with really friendly staff and great food. Excellent dog walk on the other side of the road. The room has a fridge microwave kettle and toaster. The owner was a bit stressed about the shower having failed but they had called a plumber and all was fixed with no problems and lots of apologies. Would recommend!!"

"All in all nice little cottage for a couple and good as was pet friendly to go up Durham to visit our son up uni and take our dog to see him too. Cottage was nice a little place although i think the tv was slightly too high on wall. As we arrived there were 3 plumbing vans parked outside so had to park out side another cottage for bout hour n half till they moved their vans after going in pub at front of cottages before parking own car then outside our own cottage. "Our stay here was okay I mean we’ve been to worse places but as we arrived we were met with a hole in the floor between our 2 single beds. Then as we were going to microwave our food the microwave had mouldy food inside of it. The manager & cleaners did offer us a different room but we were settled by the time we found the food so we just stayed in our room. "Excellent service by the staff and the room is great for the price. In a great location to walk around Newcastle as well. My only one issue was there was some spiders in my room, most likely due to the bathroom not being super clean. I was only there for one night so didn't make a fuss. I would definitely come back however, love the location and was comfortable."
