My room had multiple spots of black mold growing on the sitting couch, window blinds and all through the shower area (see pics). I felt unsafe to sit on the couch as a result. Poor wifi signal that cut in and out every minute or two. Safe had dead batteries and so I wasn't able to use it. Housekeeping left my door ajar by extending the dead bolt so when I came back that evening anyone could have entered my room by just pushing the door. But truly the worst part was the roosters located just a few feet from my door that would start crowing around 3:30 AM and not stop! I didn't get a good night sleep here and even tried stuffing an extra towel under the door and covering the windows with the towels for extra sound dampening. Additionally, I received a message from the property telling me the dock area would be closed until September 29, 2024. I thought that would be fine because I was visiting in November. But alas I arrive and construction was not completed so I had no access to the beach, water, or to watch the sunset. At a minimum they should have alerted us to the continued closure before I arrived so I could have changed my reservation to a property that had beach access as that was one of the reasons I chose this location. So not sure if that was an oversight or an intentional ploy to not have cancelations affect their profits. For two days the pool bar was out of Mango and Pineapple which seemed crazy as I could walk down the street and get it -- frustrating.
