"Beautiful property. Would be nice if the security at the gate and the maid service spoke better English like the rest of the staff. Several miscommunications. restaurants are all delicious but book up and we did not get to try them all."

"The pool was closed and has been for some time as they are rebuilding it. This was not advertised when booking nor was it communicated to us afterwards. Bike hire and meals also need to be arranged the day before , again this wasn't communicated to us when booking or when speaking to the reception on the phone prior to arriving. It's a lovely village but I think it's not ok to advertise facilities that aren't available as this was a big reason why we chose it. I would definitely go again though...

"The studio was very clean inside bed was comfy . However the outside was not particularly clean full of dust etc . The building itself needs updating. Great if you have children as play ground opposite. I was a lady on my own and they put me in the end villa and I felt very vulnerable at night . Staff were lovely. I was just pleased I only stayed the one night . But it would be perfect for families. Also no cloths etc to clean pots . "

"Sitting on the headland with coastal path just outside the property, it is an ideal location to view the famous rock formations at Ponta da Piedade and the lighthouse. A walk into Lagos, which is a bustling little tourist town, along the coast path takes about 40 minutes. "

"We had an amazing stay at Dunas Douradas. The property is beautiful and clean with easy access to the beach and a wonderful pool area. The accommodations were very clean, spacious and comfortable. We are actively trying to determine when we can visit again!"

"Had an amazing stay at the hostel. Staff was super friendly and helpful, the place is in great condition and has a beautiful yard with a swimming pool, orange trees and a volleyball field. Nice big kitchen, the hostel also offers a great breakfast and dinner. Really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, thanks a lot!!"
