"Wyndham has purchased this hotel, but done absolutely NOTHING to improve the quality of the hotel. It is more run down than it ever was before when it was just the Chicago South Loop Hotel (not the Wyndham Chicago Mccormick Hotel). The people who work at the hotel are wonderful. They are professional, kind, helpful, and caring. The general infrastructure is just old and things need to be replaced or updated like carpeting, paint on walls, and fitness center equipment. "The room was was clean and tastefully decorated, beds and linens were comfortable. Positives were that it was quiet, conveniently located, free parking and the mid-week rate was amazing. Only negative was that the check in was very slow. Would definitely stay again. "

"We opted for thecheck in kiosk to self- check in. Its a little confusing, but better than standing in line, tho choosing a room strictly by room number without knowing the lay out was risky. We ended up with a very nice room, but outside the window below were workers operating noisy tools from 7am on. The few staff I did encounter were very helpful tho. Overall a pleasant stay."
