The light switch situation was a little mystifying. Walkable from the train station if you can figure out which exit to use (we did not). "

"I stayed for 6 nights at the Manohara hotel for a conference at UGM. My stay throughout was excellent, provided that one does not stick around for a meal or beverages. On the one occasion when I decided to have lunch in their restaurant on a Saturday afternoon at 12pm, my one dish of rice and fried chicken took nearly an hour to arrive. Besides one other party of guests in the restaurant, there was just myself. The hotel, room, and location are excellent, but you are better off finding a meal...

"Conveniently located near the shopping street of Malioboro. Hotel is generally well maintained. However the door doesn’t shut completely and I have to ensure that the door is completely shut each time I enter/leave the room. The train and traffic sounds goes on in the middle of the night. I was awoken but fortunately return to sleep quite easily, thanks to the comfortable bed. Will be a problem for light sleepers. "
