"Stayed here following a funeral wake. The room was excellent, large room with a huge bed, overlooking the golf course. The staff were all pleasant and helpful, although they were very understaffed for the number of people present. At lunchtime in particular, just one person waiting on tables and running the bar and coffees. We had bar food at lunchtime and again in the evening. The food was all well presented and very tasty. Overall excellent and very good value for money."

"Lovely lovely getaway with a beautiful view very tranquil, we came for Valentine’s Day and had the lodge room. Would defo visit again, staff were very attentive and polite. Very relaxing break, lucky there’s an onsite restaurant because it’s located in the woods but that was the whole idea of the getaway to escape the fast life. Room was very very clean and smelt amazing. Overall, I would give it a 8.5/10, an on site convenience store would be great."

"Hotel is old/creaky floorboards but lovely, clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. My friend had an issue with her bathroom which had a very musty/sewerage issue smell but she reported in the morning and was reassured it would be dealt with. Delicious breakfast, lot of options, comfortable and clean room, very happy thank you"

"I was really surprised at the standard of the hotel and the cleanliness considering it was such a cheap room for the night. The staff were so lovely. The only thing that let it down was the beds were too soft so we didn’t sleep "
