"Best thing about this hotel is the aurora calling service, was able to view the aurora while our stay, love the view since it’s a lake at the back of the hotel and make it easier to take aurora photos there. Towels not so clean and housekeeping did not check the shower gel bottles as it was empty when we checked in. Staffs are helpful to give us extra bottle of shower gel to use, overall still recommend for this hotel."

"Room was spacious. Staff were helpful. They even provide wake-up call for Aurora sighting. Although unfortunately it was cloudy that night. It was within walking diatance of groceries, resturants and ither stores."

"The location near Vestrahorn mountain was great - the night we stayed, the sky was clear and we got fantastic views of the northern lights. The stay included free entry to the Viking Village and Stokksnes black sand beach (which was one of the nicer beaches we saw on our trip). The room was simple and not huge, but it was very new and clean. It was perfect for our needs. A simple breakfast at the café was included with the room, but we opted to also get the waffles and they were terrific. "

"The owners give a personal touch you would expect from a 5 diamond resort. One of the best stays we've had anywhere. You get great exposure to some Icelandic culture at this property. Pictures don't do it justice. "
