"I booked this hotel instead of the intercontinental because of its rave reviews. I get that it is a historic building and very artistic, but the rooms are very small. So small that we didn’t know where to put our suitcase to keep it out of the way. We felt cramped. We booked the preferred guest level which is a room upgrade. We were in for a meditation convention and we are chill, just saying, charming at the sacrifice of comfort. "

"Loved this hotel. Great facilities, updated and clean rooms, sublime design, great pool, restaurant was excellent with good service. High quality cuisine. Only negative was the valet parking set up. We didn't realize that nobody was bringing the car up after texting. We were sitting in cold and I finally looked around and realized there was a booth out of sight around the corner with a guy sitting there. There should be an explanation of the level of service when it differs from the norm....

"We only had the opportunity to stay one night but we enjoyed our short time. Room was very nice, great bathroom with beautiful lighted mirrors. Towels could use updating as they were a little thread worn. Liked the motion sensor light in the closet, comfortable bed and clean room. Did not like having the fan located right above our heads in bed. Otherwise, we would probably stay here in the future."

Oscar's home ain't a trash can!

"Because of the history of the hotel there is plenty of security, which seems intimidating at first, but i found them to be helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and furnished well to feel "of the period." The mattress was comfortable for this picky sleeper. The biggest drawback I experienced was space in the bathroom as there is no counter around the sink and the skinny glass shelf provided is limiting, but there is a counter just outside the bathroom (it's just not in the bathroom). I also found it easy to walk to many of the places I went to in downtown, and I believe there is a metro station nearby. Wonderful decor. Very enjoyable."

"Absolutely love the Levels! The rooms are amazing , the staff is lovely everyone I’ve encountered so sweet so helpful so accommodating with anything they can help with you! Currently staying here again for my mom’s birthday they gave us the best view I’ve ever had in my multiple times staying here! And when my boyfriend made the mistake of making a new reservation instead of extending the room we are in Johnny was so sweet about leaving a note so the next morning they would leave us in the same room and that morning the staff did exactly that! And when they discovered he accidentally booked the one bedroom instead of the two bedroom we were already in they upgraded it (at a fee of course people) with no problem! I’m very greatful they made my mother birthday absolutely amazing one of the best (her words)! Highly recommended for those visiting LA or LA natives looking for a nice get away or specialty occasion like myself!"

"Cute little hotel. a very old building with old school feel with some nice updates. We loved the balcony overlooking the street and view of the downtown cityscapes. We stayed here for a concert next door and ur was perfect. The rooftop lounge and pool looked fun too it we didn’t get a chance to check it out. Overall I’d stay here again! "
