We stayed in Eksjö for 3 nights. The hotel staff were fabulous; friendly and helpful. It was clean and a very pleasant stay. The beds were comfy. There was a good selection for breakfast and I had something different each morning. Eksjö is so beautiful and this was an amazing first trip to Sweden.

Amazing historic hotel in the heart of Eksjo. Close to everything. The buffet breakfast was incredible! Love lingonberry juice! Something for every one. Spacious rooms. Can not say enough.

A train wreck. Stay away.
Absolutely dreadful stay. Hotel failed on each and every account. The hotel was worn, in dire need of a brush up, frlt unclean, the sink in the bathroom was clogged, towels were missing but worst of all the bathroom stank like sewer. When the receptionist asked us if we enjoyed our stay we mentioned the bsthroom issues. In response, she focused on the towels (!) and asked why we hadn’t contacted the reception. (It was closed when we arrived.) Hello!? The restaurant was equally terrible. The cod dish looked like a classic Swedish dish judging by the menu, but the train wreck of a dish that ee were served had nothing in common with that dish except the ingredients. Perhaps luckily it had no taste whatsoever. Simultanously, a group of guest and started topping up their drinks with their own vodka from a PET bottle. Fawlty towers goes Sweden. I am Swedish and appalled that such a beautiful hotel building in a lovely town hosts something this bad..

Ok hotell i behov av renovering
Ok, hotell med bra läge. Trevlig personal och bra frukost. Baren har bra mat i klass med andra hotellkedjor. Rummet var ok skick men lyhört både från andra rum och gatan utanför (vy mot sjukhuset). Råttfällor i bastun samt smutsigt golv är tyvärr underkänt. Stäng bastun och fixa!

Rent och fräscht, hotellet har gammaldags charm, men är lite väl slitet på vissa ställen. Visst renoveringsbehov finns, bl a de gamla fina fönsterna skulle behöva målas. Dörren till vårt badrum gick inte att stänga (trasigt handtag). Jättebra centralt läge vid torget, bra p- möjligheter. Ok frukostservering, åt middag i restaurangen, väldigt god plankstek!

Mycket vänlig personal. Rummet var ok men för litet för sängen som tog emot elementet. Undersidan på tvättstället var inte rengjort och duschslangen gick inte att fästa. Frukosten var riklig med allt som ska vara där.

Härligt väl bevarad gammat stadshotell
Dörrarna behöver bytas, vi hörde rumsgrannar prata igenom dörren mellan rummen. Vi hörde allt även när vi hade tv på tyst. Annars ett mysigt och trevligt med en härlig äldre atmosfär. Men otroligt fräscht! Kommer troligtvis att besöka igen. Men byt rumsdörrar!

Så fint!
Så många vackra stadshotell vi har i Sverige. Eksjös må vara lite slitet, har inget spa som är så populärt nu för tiden, inga morgonrockar på rummet. Men det har själ. Det har stora rum med högt i tak. Inga krusiduller. Och personalen gör också sitt bästa för att du ska trivas. Efter en skön natts sömn äter vi en stor och fyllig frukost i matsalen med utsikt mot torg och kyrka. Det här stadshotellet vill vi tillbaka till!
