They booked excellent car and walking tours for us, and also provided solid advice on restaurants and getting around. "Lovely hot shower and the only place I stayed that didn't experience a power cut! So the air-conditioning worked and the room was nice and cool. The owner looked after my case and let me wait in reception for a couple of hours for my taxi to the airport. Only downside was rather a lot of mosquitoes and midges in the room, but they were everywhere in Cuba. I got bitten when I don't normally and ran out of spray (so bring plenty)."

Mixed feelings

"It was an okay experience. The hotel is centrally located, a few minutes walk to the waterfront. The building itself is very beautiful. However the room might not be convenient for some travelers as the toilet is located above the bedroom and you need to climb steep steps to get there. WiFi is not free and the signal is not good at all. Robert, the assistant manager (I think) is very helpful and polite. "
