"Good value, modern, excellent food, great ambiance and friendly staff "

"The staff were helpful. The bed was ok and the shower was excellent. The rest of the bathroom was in poor condition, with peeling paint, noisy toilet and sink that didn't drain properly. The window blind was pretty grim (filthy and torn).The light over the mirror did not work and several bedroom lamps didn't either (apparently due to a power surge earlier in the day). The bathroom was also very cold, as the heated towel rail wasn't working. People sat outside the window smoking and the smell...

"Our first impression was amazing but sadly we didn’t stay the night because our daughter and son was in a road accident so we had to leave with in 10 minutes of entering our beautiful room."

"Wonderful hotel. Spacious room with high ceilings. Super friendly staff. Great initiative giving the choice of vouchers towards drinks instead of room cleaning! Fab location in a lovely city. The nicest hotel we’ve stayed in Exeter. "

"Breakfast was as good if not better than many of the top hotels. The lighting in the room (121) was too dim. The bathroom did not have enough flat surfaces to hold all the toiletries. Staff were excellent and very attentive. I would use the hotel again and would recommend it highly."
