"Very disappointing stay. This photos show a pleasant hotel with sea views. What we had was a view of the sea with a very ugly old half built building obscuring the view. The receptionist was surly, abrupt and generally unpleasant. No welcoming smile, I felt like we were a burden. The room was full of mosquitos. The bed was a bit like sleeping on a blanket covered rock and only 2 pillows. Breakfast the first morning... my husband is a diabetic and is not able to eat any of the cakes and...

"Just back from a wonderful 10 days at Elounda Eleon Villas. Maria and Ilias are great hosts and Zetta a fantastic housekeeper who kept our villa spotlessly clean. Loved the location of our villa which had spectacular views to the sea. The pool was a welcome relief to the hot sun. The owners are lovely and make sure you have everything you need. We'll look forward to visiting again soon. "

"A very modern, perfectly equipped property, amazing swimming pool, wonderful little beach with cristal clear water down the stairs of the property, garden and pool area in the same perfect condition as the apartment. "The hotel complex was well maintained with clean and clear pathways. The buildings and rooms were modern though showed some signs of wear and tear, but all facilities worked to the level expected. Our room was lovely, actually a suite, with a personal pool which was wonderful. Food options were plentiful and varied at both breakfast and dinner. Staff were all polite and helpful and friendly."

However, it is almost split in half in terms of renovation / comfort - both for the rooms and communal areas. Overall comfortable and nice, but could be better for the price point. The half board buffet was a little disappointing in terms of range / quality, but the restaurant staff were very kind. Would go back, but probably wouldn’t take the half board option next time. "
