Great property, lovely bar and hangout area Lacks places to out your stuff, even a small dresser would help. While compact we have stayed here for business twice because of the great art, warm environment and a lobby bar. The location is good depending on what you’re doing in Helsinki, we find it mostly walkable and easy to get around

I would heartily recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Helsinki. Quirky but very nice, and the breakfast buffet is amazing. I'm afraid it's ruined me for the "continental breakfast" you get at similarly priced hotels in the States!

The hotel is really outstanding and good reachable with the public transport. The staffs are super friendly, everything is clean and you can rest very well. You aren't that far from the main station. It was my second stay, last year I also already stayed at this hotel and if you wanna do a day trip to Tallinn the hotel is nearby by the port.

Cool and nice hotel with very hard madrasses
A very nice hotel with spectacuar art, we liked that and the breakfast was good. What wasn't good was the bed, it was so hard I could not sleep until I had put every pillow I could find in the room on top of the madrass. It would be nice to be asked if you like to sleep on a hard madrass or soft/medium when you book.

This hotel is such a hidden gem. I love the art, the decorations and the different themes for each room. Everything was so well thought out and the room was compact but functional. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet and the breakfast tasty. My only tiny complaint is the lack of a proper trash bin in the room.

Amazing hotel with outstanding breakfast
This hotel is so nice and the amenties and comfort is outstanding! It is a few meters from a tram stop and also just a 30 min walk from city centre. The breakfast is fantastic with good vegan options and the beds are comfy and it is in a quiet area. I would love to have a fridge in the room though, because it gets hot even with AC and a fridge is always such a help on longer journeys. But we will definitely be back at hotel AX, thanks for having us!

The rooms are very nice, the bed comfortable and the blankets thick. The only thing I didn't appreciate was the shower. I have stayed in many eco-friendly hotels before, but this one seems to restrict water pressure. This combined with only a small shower head means you can only apply water to abiut a 5 inch circumference of your body at a time, and makes rinsing thick hair almost impossible.

Everything was near perfect. The room was clean and modern. Each room seemed to have a different design theme. The only thing is that there could have been a normal-size trash bin in the room (there was one very small one in the bathroom). Breakfast was good, nothing mind-blowing but I really liked that there was real omelette next to the scrambled eggs mix that hotels usually serve.

Very nice room with big TV with cast option. A (real) coffemaker in the room would have been perfect. No small fridge, but you can get a cooler. Breakfast was varied with hot and cold options. Too bad the coffee was only pre-brewed (cappuccino or espresso costs extra). Vegan options are nice, but i would have liked a diabetes friendly sweetener option.

Beautilly done hotel, but my room with a king bed was cramped and stuffy. They loaned me a fan so i was comfortable. Windows do not open, no safe or fridge. Rooms were quiet, with a comfortable mattress. Definitely not a room for two travelers with large suitcase to unpack or need a work space for lap tops. It was great to have a tram stop just outside the hotel that will get you to the airport with one change for 4,10 €. Take the 9 train, either A or B. It is a16 minute walk to the # 2 ferry terminal. Street seemed safe at all hours.
