"Love this hotel, great family atmosphere. Hoping the refurb doesn't loose too much of the originality this place has. Otherwise will loose his quaintness and staff and be too expensive and will change the clientele."

"We were welcomed by zoe on reception who was friendly and engaging. Quicky given our room key and went to our room. The decor is a little dated but the room was spacious and warm. The bed was huge and comfy so what more could you ask for. We had breakfast which was buffet style and eat as much as you wanted. The best thing about this hotel has to be the view over Chesil beach which is amazing. We would have no hesitation staying again. "

"We only stayed for one night but it was really nice from the moment we walked in, With a helpful receptionist The room was a great size and bathroom was as well, very clean and well looked after. The breakfast was nice with good selection of hot and cold items. We used the swimming pool and the water was nice and warm and a nice padded floor in the pool and good shallow end for little ones, and also towels were provided by the reception of the pool area. "

"The hotel is on the promenade of Exmouth. Slightly tired and dated looking property, the lock on our door did not work but room a nice size and bed was comfortable, we had a view out to the sea which was nice. We did not eat in the hotel, we did use the bar which was small but fine. I would stay here again."

"Lovely location, and very welcoming staff. Room was clean and comfortable - only issue is that the walls are rather thin, so a noisy neighbour next door or on the floor above can make for an uncomfortable night if you’re a light sleeper. "

"Overall another lovely stay at The Kingswood. The lounge is lovely, the quiz a bonus and staff all delightful - special shoutout to Steve who is an asset all round. Lots of personal attention including remembering our son’s name. Breakfast is great quality and tasty with good choice. Room was a bit warm despite radiators being off and there’s no aircon. "A typical mid range seaside hotel. Like the curates egg, good in part. Trying to be objective but honest, so staff were nice, breakfast and dinner good and lovely sea views. On the other hand reception was a bit like a small guest house but it worked.
