Abby at the front desk was really Great but the folks at the bar were not very helpful or friendly. The view and ocean are gorgeous and an amazing beach for swimming is nearby at the Sheraton. "

The pool is advertised on the internet as heated, and while it probably is a little heated, it wasn't warm enough for me personally. But the kids and my husband loved it. Waipouli is Resort is located in an area that is an easy drive to so many beautiful beaches. Shopping at Safeway directly across the street was very convenient. "We had a wonderful stay at the Outrigger in Lihue! The best part of our experience was the staff—everyone we encountered was extremely responsive, professional, and polite. They truly went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The property itself is beautiful, with well-maintained pools and hot tubs. My child especially loved the waterslide! The resort also offers easy beach access, which is great for relaxing walks and enjoying the views, though the ocean here isn’t ideal for swimming...

"The hotel is lovely and very family and couple friendly, but do not expect the room you booked, we specifically paid for a room away from the pool with an ocean view, however they “upgraded” us to a room right above the pool and nothing could be done as they considered this an upgrade. Staff were absolutely lovely and willing to help."
