"The employees were very courteous and polite, trying to help as much as they could. I was first told that because of my VIP status I could enjoy 2 breakfasts and a drink, only a few minutes later a different front desk employee told me that breakfast was NOT included. Obviously a little disappointing. Water temperature in shower kept fluctuating which was challenging. No safe in room or mini fridge. Only 2 bottles of water per day allowed."

"The staff was very nice and helpful. The lobby did not have ac, the pool and rooftop was disgusting. It was so crusty and pool was very dirty! However the gym was great. It was confusing having breakfast, only one part of the area was free breakfast, the other you needed to pay 16$ usd and when it got busy it was chaotic. No ice buckets in the room or anywhere! Marriott should be ashamed!"

"Beautiful hotel, staff very friendly, made us feel at home. Breakfast was delicious. Pool si very small. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel at ground level so expect some traffic noise, if you are a light sleeper maybe you better look for a different option, for us it was not an issue and we enjoyed every minute we spent there. "It is a hidden gem in the heart of Centro, Merida. The location is perfect—you can walk to everything. The price is affordable. Sophia and the other staff are excellent and friendly. However, two angels, Gabriel and Daniel, went above and beyond their jobs to make me feel comfortable and at home. I recommend Hotel Santa Maria to anyone visiting Merida.
