Miles of pistes, freestyle parks and one of the world’s biggest half pipes await at this family-friendly ski resort in the Graubünden mountains.

Enjoy an adventure-filled winter holiday at Laax Ski Resort. Discover 146 miles (235 kilometres) of powdery slopes, four snow parks and five valley runs. Experience a lively après-ski scene, sample Swiss cuisine and attend international skiing competitions. Laax Ski Resort incorporates the ski areas of the interconnecting villages of Falera, Flims and Laax.

Strap on your skis or snowboard and explore the endless miles of slopes. Take in uninterrupted views of the Graubünden mountainscape, including the 9,902-foot-tall (3,018-metre) Vorab Glacier. Go cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and winter hiking along marked trails. Try sledding on two specially prepared runs.

Popular with freestylers, the resort’s snow parks have multiple kickers, obstacles and rails. Hone your skills at Beginner Park and challenge the 25 obstacles of Curnius Snowpark. At NoName Snowpark, ride the 656-foot-long (200-metre) half pipe, one of the longest continuous half pipes in the world. Watch freestyling contests, including Burton European Open and European Freeski Open.

If you’re a novice skier, take lessons with qualified and passionate instructors. Kids can enjoy learning about the resort’s mountain, legends, flora and fauna at Ami Sabi Snow Wonderland ski school.

After a busy day of activities, get refreshed at one of more than 20 mountain restaurants and bars. Sit on a sun-soaked terrace and admire the spectacular scenery or dance all night at a lively nightclub. Try traditional Swiss raclette: melted cheese with gherkins, pickled onions and potatoes.

Reach Laax Ski Resort via gondola lifts that travel to and from Falera, Flims and Laax. A shuttle bus connects the resort with Zurich Airport. Use your valid lift ticket to board the free shuttle operating between the resort and its incorporating villages.

The ski season runs from November to mid-April. In the summer months lifts provide access to hiking and biking trails. Visit the Laax Ski Resort’s official website for information about lift times and prices, ski lessons, equipment rental and event schedules. Here you’ll also find details about accommodation options and package deals.
