"Just a quick trip to Portland for an appointment. This is an interesting place with a lot of history to it. I always feel like I need to dust at McMenamins since there decor is so dim. The property is well maintained and I’m sorry I’ll miss the gardens in bloom. However I would not stay here in the spring or summer because of the traffic noise. Really really loud. The spa is lovely, make sure to make reservations in advance. Food is the same as every other McMenamins. "

"We arrived on Monday and Anil at the front dest was helpful even though my card kept giving him problems. Once checked in we noticed a smokers smell in our room. Anil offered to put us in a better room, but we said we just wanted him aware so we weren't charged for someone elses choices. "Usually the staff is nice but was treated to rudeness when checking in. The rooms are usually in good shape but this on had broken curtains, a loose toilet seat and the bathroom door got stuck trapping my wife in the bathroom. Some work needs to be done to get back to the old quality."

"Pics of hotel lobby or bedrooms wasn’t the same as soon. I also booked this hotel because it had an indoor hot tub and (Pool) but it was mainly the hot tub that I booked it for and found out that was broke down and they couldn’t fix it because of one story I was told by one person at desk that their maintenance was on vacation. "Good location for PDX airport n dining , and breakfast was good . Just lil bit unfortunate for us the room temperature didn't work , and while we were about to checking in , there's nobody at front desk , we were waiting almost 20 minutes outside door, till other guest came and open the door for us, thats bummer! "I truly loved this suite! The friend who was going to occupy the 2nd room didn’t make it so I had the whole place to myself! Everyone at the front desk was kind, professional, & helpful. I enjoyed the fall decorations in the lobby & I absolutely LOVED the little dog bed & treats for the pet owners who’ve been traveling with their fur babies so they can check in without having to worry about their pups. I will absolutely be back with my whole family- and maybe even our pups!"

"The pool ground is rough, and it is easy to scratch yourself. Please put tiles around the pool. The Room was great and big. The breakfast was decent, but the eating room was so small and very crowded in the morning. Parking was ok. "
