Couldn't open the door to the room because the front desk failed to inform us the "trick". Needed to have a maintenance person show the trick. He said the front dedk frequently neglects to advise customers of this problem.

The door handles on two of the rooms I was assigned were broken. It was 40 degrees out and it took me over an hour to finally get into the 2nd room after the maintenance guys (who were great) fixed that door handle.

It was very noisy!! We were able to hear the conversation of the other room very clearly!!! And then they kept their television on all night we were able to hear it so well we could make out the words

Good value for the dollar. The casino has made an effort to upgrade the rooms in a relatively old facility. The bed was comfortable but using sheets and a blanket to substitute for a comforter is a faulty approach. WiFi worked good. The AC/Furnace unit needs maintenance as it blows cold air for a period of time before the heat cuts on - plus it's quite noisy. Outside door has been repaired numerous times but it appeared to be safe.

besides the great slot selection available, the friendliness of the staff is the aspect that most stands out amongst the crowd and is better than all the rest. they really make you feel welcome, at-home in this cool place to stay and play and eat well. New pioneer hotel has a new system that needs to be completely scraped as it is completely flawed and against all industry standard IT systems. I was charged a posted payment to my credit card for a damage deposit when I cause no damage. Instead of like every other hotel, where the charge remains pending, this charge posted as a final charge. I then had to dispute it with my credit card company and waste my time all for a flawed system where this hotel failed to do proper IT system checks that are widely standard in the industry. I was told by the front desk lady that this amount would be refunded. That is yet to be seen and I will fully back and support my credit card company to dispute this charge and hopefully get this company to get their act together. The room was very basic no fridge, no microwave but otherwise fine as far as that goes. Otherwise I had no issue with the room itself.

I have stayed twice in 3 months at the Pioneer. The rooms are bare bones, clean and easy to get to. I don’t spend time in the room and serves me well for the price. Don’t need frills just a clean bed!
