Staff very friendly and welcoming, driver was fantastic, front desk and bellhops equally as good. Food in restaurants excellent. Breakfast buffet (hot foods horrible and undercooked or overcooked) cold foods nice selection.
Complaints: We paid for a room with extra perks. 1 Hotel bar drink every day and a appetizer/canape. We only ever received this canape once in the bar (only place to get them)and the bar staff were hit and miss. We found ourselves constantly having to get up from our dining table to get cutlery or a napkin just to eat our dinner or ask for another drink. Staff were always talking with one another instead of serving guests. This happened at the breakfast as well. We got forgotten about a couple of times and had to ask for a coffee. We are pretty easygoing but do hate not being acknowledged and services paid for not being met.
Rooms are very dark. Bathroom had some mold (putting make up on was a challenge). Air flow in the hotel halls and room was poor. We kept our window open to get fresh air and movement. Housekeeper forgot to replenish coffee in our room. We bought some on our own instead of complaining.
We received little bottles of port wine and champagne every night with a platter of cheese, fruit, tarts or chocolates. Paid for but was a nice touch.
All in all 3 and a half-4 star hotel ranking.
