It was awkward as soon as I checked in as the owner requested I cancel the booking and pay directly to the property due to Hotels.com/Expedia failure to pay for multiple guests over the previous month's. The option was unavailable as Hotel.com policy for cancellation was fully nonrefundable. This means I'd have to pay twice if I cancelled. "This is a small property with maybe ten bungalows. Unfortunately it it quite close to a marshy area so there are mosquitoes. The staff are friendly the restaurant food very good. There is a nice pool and sunbathing area. Walking to and from the property at night is not very well lit. Realistically the things we found negative are not the owners fault, but I thought I should note them. 5 minute walk to a lively area with bars and discos, and the beach."

"3 night booking. I arrived at about 9pm on the first night after a long and tiring journey, but my room was not ready. I had to wait about 30 minutes whilst staff went to get towels and soap, as well as a floor-standing fan - there was a fan already in the room but it was broken with the guard cover on the floor. I asked about a room safe, and after a short wait 2 staff members came back in to the room carrying a large, shoddy looking wooden stand and a room safe. The safe was in a terrible...
