"It is very noisy at night ( Friday ).The bar next door plays loud music with people drinking in the street until 2am.!!!! Finally they go home at about 3am. It is such a shame because everything else is so good. I can not recommend it for this reason."

Verified traveller

An interesting city that does not feel like a tourist place but a working Sicilian city. Go to the Interdisciplinary Regional Museum of Messina. It has many interesting exhibits, but the gems are the Caravaggio paintings done here in Messina.
