"Eilert Smith Hotel exceeded our expectations!!! This is a Luxury Boutique Hotel. They treat you like royalty right when you walk in the door. I would definitely stay there again in Stavanger. It was the best of all places we stayed in Norway. It didn’t have the most amenities or even the best views but it made up for it in service and quality of the room and everything in the room. "The wrong telephone number and incomplete address was shown on the hotels.com website. After chatting with an AI bot I found the correct number to call and was able to talk to the host. They explained that important messages/information sent to the customers often dont get received. The accomodation in itself was in a prime location. Fairly easy to park the car in the close area although this cost quite a lot of money. The toilet door wouldnt close properly and the drain in the kitchen sink ...

"The location was central, close to the Old Town and walking distance to the port. However, the bed was too soft and my mother has a bad back so we slept on the floor. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. The pillows were lumpy. I went hiking to Pulpit Rock and got back pain after two nights of poor sleep. There was easy street parking but you need to pay, the host didn't mention it so we got a ticket. The bathroom was tiny but the living room was spacious."

"Loved the location of this property. We had a junior suite. It was of good size, newly decorated with taste, and came with a small, equipped kitchenette. Initial check-in required downloading an app and instructions that were not too clear. However, once one is able to get through the front door, the self check in machine worked rather well. All in all, we enjoyed our two short stays. "

"Everything was great! My only complaint was checkout was for 11am and I actually had housekeeping enter my room at 9am on their own without me opening the door, which I felt odd bc what if we were indecent? Other than that the actual place was great. "

"We enjoyed our stay, and the very central location, with several restaurants, a new Irish pub, and the Christmas market metres away. Staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. The "julefrokost"was plentiful with a wide array of traditional Norwegian Christmas dishes. Our only complaint is that the food was on the cold side for our tastes, even when we showed up at opening time. We used the exercise room, and also enjoyed the second-floor lounge. "

"Excellent hotel in a great location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel and rooms were to a high standard of cleanliness. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and we loved the fact that free self service tea and coffee was available in the lounge 24/7"
