"Love this Hotel. Recommend getting a cell on 'A block' upper levels. There's something very cool about exiting your room onto the prison landing with all the cells lined up. Very nicely appointed rooms, a nice bar and restaurant. Breakfast was top notch. Town and station are minutes away on foot. Be sure to check out the original cell on the ground floor or visit the old jail museum next door. "

"Lovely interior with spacious rooms with everything you could need for a 2 nights stay, only complaint is the noise outside the hotel if you leave the window open due to being on the high street but cant fault the hotel for that one. Would recommend to anyone staying in reading"

"Perfect place for our family of 3 to spend 2 days visiting Oxford. Teenager slept in the sofa bed which he said was comfortable. Nice walk into town. Didn’t eat at hotel but dining looked nice. Would definitely return."
