"This was our first visit since the renovations, and we were pleased with them outside of 2 things. First is the rooms are too “chic” and the sofa chairs in the rooms are not very comfortable, however, the bed was very comfortable and plenty of pillows! The bathroom and shower were excellent. The 2nd thing was the outdoor hot tub “shrunk”. The original could easily hold 10-12 people no problem. The “new” one holds maybe 4 comfortably, not sure why they would make it smaller. "Building is 100+ years old, has the character of an older facility that has been updated to provide electrical, HVAC, and Wifi needs of modern user. Proprietor is very friendly, was very helpful in helping us set up a good itinerary for our two days there. Breakfast was excellent, prepared to order and of the highest quality. "This quaint inn is very convenient to the downtown area and walkable to the train station. The room we’d originally booked had a ‘maintenance issue’ so we were told we were ‘upgraded’ to a Carriage House room. Loved that there a living area as well as a full kitchen (which we didn’t use), but the sliding glass door didn’t lock. We requested maintenance, but nothing was ever done. We had to improvise our own door stop with luggage racks. Bed was comfy and shower was hot with great pressure....
