This was our first time staying at a RIU property. We were impressed and will consider staying at other RIUs in the future.
The resort was recently updated and changed to an adult-only resort. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable.
The pools are very nice with plenty of lounge chairs, and the beach was beautiful and walkable. We never had any trouble finding a spot to relax.
There were 9 restaurants at the resort, none of which require reservations. The buffet was good for breakfast, but would not recommend it for other meals. The coffee shop made some of the best lattes!!!
The only negative was that they only give one pool towel per guest and you have to have a card to get one. Not a deal breaker but would have been nice to have an extra.
Thanks RIU for a wonderful and relaxing vacation!
A very clean and pleasant place to stay. Overall experience was great but the food quality could have some improvements. For instance: fruits were limited, first three days there were mangoes and passion fruit but for the last 4 days none. Coffee and cappuccino were very poor quality.
Thank you!
The resort was nice, rooms were comfortable, and cleaning service was good. Buffet style in main dining area but could try other options. Asian wasn't the best and had mixed reviews on most from other guest but steak house was definitely good and popular. Room service menu was limited.
Bar service at quiet pool area was slower than swim up bar.
The $500 promised in resort credits through Expedia was not resort credits it was a coupon book for various activities in area. Didn't even get $10 off at salon because you had to combine it with three services including a pedicure. That was disappointing as I would've booked with another if known as this was higher rate. Overall was good.
Nice hotel, the ground are well kept and staff are friendly. The common areas and restaurants are quite nice optically. Food is average and did pick up food poising while I was there.
It was the first time we had been to a RIU resort. Room was clean and the view was great. People begin reserving their spots even in the Elite cabanas at about 6:00 AM.
Such a wonderful stay. Staff was amazing. Julian took great care of us each day for lunch and the restaurant options were wonderful. We will definitely be back
Super clean with excellent service and staff. Staff are extremely helpful. The Bar servers were efficient especially Carmen at the Bar Daiquiri! Check-in reception staff were also excellent and wanting to satisfy our wishes.
Property was immaculate and staff were very nice. The food was a hit or miss. Love that it is in a gated community! Felt super safe walking off property by myself, just not a lot of place close to walk or to shop. Please on 30- 90minutes of drive time to get somewhere to shop. Would like the staff to be more knowledgeable about the area and things to do. The beach is private for the resort, however, there are a few vendors that sell jewelry, sunglasses, massages that are allowed on property. Lovely time, but probably would not return due to distance, food, and lack of evening options for something to do. You can visit the sister properties, but they are not within walking distance and are family friendly.
